Multilingual system
Petrosoft has full support for any writing system, from simple Latin-based languages to complex Chinese and Japanese.
Well-established, flexible technology makes this possible. The open database, Linux operating system and Java-based server software have full support for any character set, and this extends to the client side, where multiple languages can be used on any of our supported platforms, including Windows, Solaris and Linux.
Multiple languages may be installed on a system, and multiple languages may be in use at the same time - a user may be using the system in English, while another user logged on to the same server is using Chinese. Both users may work with the same data, and no data conversion is necessary. End-to-end, from database to client and back again, your information stays the way you entered it.
Languages may be set on a per-user basis, and the system automatically retrives the correct screen labels and online documentation for the user's language choice. This, combined with Petrosoft's ability to accept client connections over the Internet, means that the system is truly global in scope.
The internationalisation applies to every part of the system, including user-generated reports.
