Overview
PetroMonitor is Oilband's tank gauging system. Offering level monitoring & reporting package, PetroMonitor can either be deployed as a stand-alone system or integrated into the PetroSupervisor and PetroManager terminal automation systems.
An on-site PC is connected to a display unit located outside, via an RS485 data highway. The instruments located in the product tanks are also connected to the PC via a dedicated Ethernet or serial link.
The Oilband 1931 unit acts as the interface for the driver and gives current tank volume details. The unit also drives an alarm sounder and beacon in the event of a high level trip point being reached.
The PetroMonitor software package polls the probes periodically, records level changes and then displays the data to the system user in a number of configurable formats, including a dynamic trend graph format that allows operators to browse through historical records with ease.

The system allows production of reports, which are cofigurable to meet the individual requirements of the company.
In cases where the system is installed as an integrated module, complete reconcilliation reports may be produced automatically.
The details on PetroMonitor reports include:
- Opening stock balances
- Total tank receipts
- Total meter throughput
- Closing stock balances
- All losses and gains on a tank, stock or client basis

Networkability
All Petrosoft products are fully networkable and as such may be accessed remotely via a local or wide area network or via a remote dial-in facility such as VPN.
The PetroMonitor client application runs as a thin end client on any existing Windows PC and provides the user with a real-time view of stock levels at the remote terminal.
The PetroMonitor system can also be configured to send alarm messages to the remote client as well as any number of e-mail addresses or to a phone via SMS.
